Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Skills for effective communication
- Ability for problem solving on site & documentation capabilities
- Personal attributes to attention in details, proactiveness & integrity
- Conducting daily inspections and audits to ensure compliance
- Conducting safety inspection on daily basis in workplace
- Enforcing safety policies
- Conducting safety induction for workforces and daily toolbox talks
- Near miss/incident reporting to HSE advisor
- Record keeping and documentation
- Promoting safety culture
- Coordinating with other departments for daily observation close out
- Continuous improvement in safety process and procedures with labourers
- Monthly equipment inspections like Full Body Harness (FBH), Fire extinguisher and plant equipment
- Knowledge in regulation and standards, hazard identification & emergency procedures
- PPE enforcement: Ensure the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and provide guidance on safe work practices
- Promote a culture of continuous safety improvement through regular feedback, meetings, and the introduction of best practices

- NEBOSH IGC Certification
- OSH Managing Safety
- Trakhees accreditations (SARS & SSRS Certified)
- IOSH Managing Safety
- Certification: First aider, Fire warden, Basic firefighting, CPR & AED
