Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support the HSE Engineer in the implementation of daily HSE activities in compliance with ADNOC requirements.
  • Participate in the monitoring of site HSE performance, including but not limited to inspections, audits, and environmental sampling.
  • Conduct daily site walkthroughs to verify compliance with approved method statements, risk assessments, and safe work practices. Identify unsafe acts/conditions, initiate corrective actions, and maintain proper documentation.
  • Assist in incident, accident, and near-miss investigations in line with ADNOC incident reporting protocols.
  • Deliver regular HSE inductions and toolbox trainings to site personnel and subcontractors, focusing on task-specific hazards and control measures.
  • Verify that all work activities are covered under a valid Permit to Work (PTW) and associated risk assessments, and ensure full compliance with ADNOC PTW procedures.
  • Participate in daily Toolbox Talk (TBT) sessions conducted by the Job Performer (JP) and provide support in highlighting critical safety messages.
  • Ensure all personnel on site are wearing the required and approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance verification of fire-fighting systems, emergency equipment, and first-aid facilities.
  • Monitor emergency preparedness and response measures; organize and participate in mock drills as per the ADNOC-approved emergency response plan.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records and reports in accordance with ADNOC and project-specific documentation requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Any Bachelor Degree OR Diploma (from an institution of higher learning authorized to grant academic degrees in the country of issue)
  • Minimum one of the following:

▪ NEBOSH IGC or Equivalent (Subject to approval by ADNOC Group)

▪ Any other HSE certifications (considered at ADNOC Group discretion)

Additional HSE Trainings / Certifications will be added advantage.

  • Work Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' experience in HSE in any industry, with at least 1 year experience in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning/projects / operations / production in the oil & gas or petro-chemical industries.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to conduct HSE orientation /induction/HSE awareness sessions to workers
  • Ability to understand and implement HSE plans, Welfare plans, Emergency response procedures/plans and site specific HSE procedures /work instructions.
  • Practical experience in implementation of SSOW (PTW WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.)
  • Awareness of practical H2S control measures.
  • Ability to conduct HSE inspections
  • Ability to understand and implement incident reporting andinvestigation procedures
  • Ability to speak read and write English with good communication skills
