Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

To ensure a safe working environment on the building construction site by implementing HSE policies, monitoring compliance, conducting inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture to prevent accidents and environmental incidents.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. HSE Implementation & Project coordination

  • Implement company HSE policies, procedures, and project safety plans.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, & international standards (OSHA, ISO).

  • Monitor work activities to ensure safe practices are followed.

  • Ensure compliance with KSA safety regulations and company HSE policies

  • Coordinate with project team, subcontractors, and consultants on HSE matters


2. Site Inspections & Risk Management

  • Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits.

  • Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

  • Carry out risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).

  • Monitor high-risk activities (lifting, working at height, confined space).

  • Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify hazards

  • Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) system implementation

  • Maintain safety documentation and records


3. Training & Awareness

  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions.

  • Promote safety awareness campaigns and initiatives.

  • Provide guidance to supervisors and workers on safe practices.

  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)


4. Incident Management & Reporting

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.

  • Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective actions.

  • Maintain HSE records and documentation.


5. Emergency Preparedness

  • Ensure emergency procedures are in place and understood.

  • Participate in emergency drills and response planning.

  • Coordinate with first aiders and emergency teams.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.

  • Stop unsafe work activities when required


6. Documentation and compliance

  • Ability to handle and prepare safety documents, including PowerPoint presentations, reporting software entries, and data collection records.

  • Prepare incident statistics summary reports and HSE summary reports for KSA.

  • Follow up on corrective action plans to ensure completion within the specified timeframe for site activities.

  • Ability to manage safety systems and maintain up-to-date health and safety records and reports.

  • EHS & OHS Management Systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001): Conduct quarterly internal audits, report findings, raise NCRs for non-compliance, and follow up on timely and appropriate corrective actions to ensure continuous compliance.

  • Provide proactive safety support to employees within the site by implementing preventive measures and promoting


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.

  • NEBOSH IGC or equivalent is mandatory.

  • 5 – 10 years of HSE experience in building construction projects in KSA.
