Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our organization's HSE standards, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with UAE and international standards

Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions

Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and implementing preventive measures

Design and deliver HSE training programs to employees at all levels of the organization

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE initiatives, using data analysis to drive continuous improvement

Collaborate with management to integrate HSE considerations into all aspects of business operations

Ensure compliance with local UAE HSE laws and regulations, as well as international standards

Manage and maintain HSE documentation, including permits, certifications, and regulatory filings

Serve as the primary point of contact for HSE matters with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders

Stay up-to-date with emerging HSE trends, technologies, and best practices, incorporating them into organizational strategies

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field

Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in a similar industry

Relevant HSE certifications In-depth knowledge of UAE HSE laws and regulations, as well as international HSE standards Proven experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety management systems

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights

Proficiency in HSE software and data analysis tools

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels

Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging HSE training programs

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus

Willingness to work in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and adapt to local cultural considerations
