Job Summary:

The Engineer – Quality & Engineering is responsible for ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and occupational health & safety standards across all operations. The role involves supporting the implementation and maintenance of integrated management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, while contributing to engineering activities and process improvements.

The position focuses on monitoring product and process quality, identifying risks, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Additionally, the role supports the development of environmental and HSE frameworks by identifying environmental aspects, safety hazards, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality, QHSE & Compliance:

• Ensure full compliance with QHSE policies and procedures across the workshop and facility.

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and policies.

• Conduct internal audits and support external audits.

• Conduct inspection and testing of materials, processes, and finished products.

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2000 standards and company quality requirements & Workshop Operations.

• Identify defects and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Ensure all documentation is updated and aligned with government regulations and legal requirements.

Engineering Functions & Engineering & Technical Coordination:

• Support process design, development, and improvement initiatives.

• Analyse production processes to improve efficiency, safety, and quality.

• Assist in root cause analysis of technical and quality issues.

• Coordinate with engineering teams for product and process modifications.

• Coordinate with technical, operations, and procurement teams for issue resolution.

• Liaise with suppliers for warranty claims and technical clarifications.

• Manage part quarantine processes for defective or non-conforming items.

• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

ISO Systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001):

• Assist in the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) & ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System).

• Develop and maintain EMS & OH&S documentation, including policies, procedures, risk assessments, and registers.

• Identify environmental aspects & impacts and health & safety risks.

• Support implementation of control measures and mitigation plans.

• Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and international standards.

• Participate in internal and external audits for ISO systems.

• Monitor and report on HSE performance indicators.

• Support incident investigation and implementation of corrective actions

 Facility Management:

• Oversee facility-related concerns, including maintenance and repairs.

• Coordinate modifications and improvements to workshop infrastructure.

• Ensure facility compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards.

Warranty & Claims Handling:

• Act as the primary point of contact for:

• Warranty claims.

• Parts-related issues.

• Manufacturing defects.
