Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with local and international standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across all production and packaging facilities to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near-misses, ensuring root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs for employees at all levels to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, including ISO 22000, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, HACCP, and ISO 14001.
  • Prepare and present HSE performance reports and metrics to senior management, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, certification bodies, and external auditors during inspections and audits.
  • Lead emergency response planning, drills, and crisis management activities to ensure preparedness.
  • Drive initiatives to minimize environmental impact, including waste management, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.
  • Foster a proactive HSE culture by engaging employees, contractors, and stakeholders in safety campaigns and continuous improvement projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in HSE roles within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing HSE systems in compliance with ISO 22000, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, HACCP, and ISO 14001.
  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian and international HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and drive organizational change.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with all organizational levels.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
  • Proficiency in preparing HSE reports, documentation, and presentations.
  • Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, large-scale manufacturing environment.
