Operational

• Ensure compliance with company HSE standards and regulatory requirements across regions.

• Conduct routine site HSE inspections and walkthroughs and observation reports with photographs and clear corrective actions within required time using the digital platform.

• Verify that method statements, job safety analysis or task risk assessments are available, task specific and communicated to the workforce before starting the work.

• Monitor site security arrangements that affect HSE such as security gate room, access control, CCTV cameras, visitor and vehicle registers and report any non-availability or malfunction for rectification.

• Ensure first aid arrangements on site to be in line to contractual and legal obligations.

• Maintain and support the Permit to Work system management by checking that permits are task specific, signed by the right authority, valid for the day, linked to method statement or risk assessment and closed after work completion. Keep a current permit register.

• Register all toolbox talks, inductions, equipment certificates and welfare inspections in the digital system to avoid missing records.

• Follow up close out of corrective actions raised by clients, consultants or internal HSE audits and record evidence in the system.

• Support incident and accident reporting by gathering facts, photographs, witness statements and submitting initial reports in the digital platform within the same working day.

• Escalate unresolved unsafe acts or unsafe conditions to the Area Manager and project management team.

• Participate in and lead in emergency preparedness drills and ensure that emergency numbers and evacuation routes are posted and readable.

• Monitor welfare facilities as per the company standards and legal requirements.

• Conduct weekly project housekeeping inspection and disseminate the inspection report to the site team for action.

People Management

• Deliver HSE induction to new employees, visitors and subcontractors according to the project HSE plan and record attendance in the digital system.

• Guide supervisors and foremen including all stakeholders on HSE expectations and documentation and follow up rules.

• Promote a reporting culture that encourages workers to raise near misses and unsafe conditions without fear.
