Hiring – HSSE Manager | Marine Piling & Infrastructure Project | Iraq
Shafa Group is hiring an experienced HSSE Manager for a Marine Piling & Infrastructure Project in Iraq on a short-term assignment basis.
Job Location: Iraq
Project Duration: 5–6 Months
Experience Required: Minimum 15 Years
Key Responsibilities:
Manage overall HSSE operations for marine piling, offshore, and infrastructure construction projects
Ensure implementation of HSE management systems, permit-to-work systems, and emergency response procedures
Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, and compliance monitoring
Lead toolbox talks, safety trainings, site inductions, and workforce safety awareness programs
Ensure compliance with international HSE standards, client requirements, and project safety procedures
Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams on HSSE matters
Monitor offshore/marine operational risks, lifting activities, heavy equipment operations, and construction safety compliance
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 15 years of HSSE experience in marine construction, offshore, infrastructure, or heavy construction projects
Strong experience in marine piling, steel pile, and sheet pile works
Experience in port, jetty, quay wall, coastal, and marine civil construction projects
NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA or equivalent HSE certifications preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
Ability to work in challenging offshore/marine environments
Must be willing to relocate to Iraq for the project duration
