Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with HSSE management systems, conducting inspections, and supporting continuous improvement in health, safety, security, and environmental practices across all project phases.
  • Implement and monitor HSSE policies, procedures, and plans aligned with company and client requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure compliance with HSSE standards and regulations.
  • Identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and security risks, recommend corrective actions, and verify implementation.
  • Support the development and execution of emergency response and crisis management plans.
  • Participate in incident and accident investigations, analyze root causes, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Deliver HSSE induction, toolbox talks, and awareness training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Maintain accurate records of HSSE performance, incidents, inspections, and training activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and international standards such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.
  • Promote a culture of proactive safety, environmental responsibility, and security awareness across project teams.
  • Coordinate with security personnel to ensure implementation of access control, asset protection, and site security measures.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 8 years of experience in HSSE management within construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HSSE standards and regulations, including ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and relevant local laws.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are required; ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in conducting site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Experience with emergency response planning and security coordination preferred.
  • Proficiency in HSSE management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety excellence.
