About the Company
Our company supports government entities by supplying specialized engineers who use a space-based technology to detect water leakage. Our company is experiencing significant growth in the GCC region, currently operating in three countries with nearly 100 staff. We are anticipating confirmation to expand our team by 70 additional members within the next two months. This role will be essential for recruiting and overseeing staff development in the coming years.
Role Summary
We are hiring an HR Manager / People Operations Lead to own end-to-end HR operations in a fast-moving startup environment. This role is HRIS-first: Odoo is our system of record for recruitment, onboarding, employee files, contracts, payroll inputs, and performance processes. Achieving success involves maintaining accurate data, implementing robust access controls, establishing well-defined standard operating procedures, ensuring consistent execution throughout the employee lifecycle, and fostering comprehensive employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
· Own and run the full HR function: recruitment, onboarding, employee records, contracts, HR policy, and employee relations.
· Operate Odoo as the single source of truth (no shadow HR systems): ensure consistent data entry, deduplication, and audit-ready records.
· Build a repeatable recruitment workflow in Odoo (pipeline stages, notes/scorecards, candidate database, hiring analytics).
· Design and run onboarding and offboarding with documented SOPs and checklists; coordinate closely with Operations/IT for provisioning and access.
· Own HR payroll inputs and monthly HR calendar; partner with Finance to ensure accurate, timely pay and benefits administration.
· Review and revise HR policies and communications to be clear, readable, and updated as the business evolves.
· Establish a lightweight performance management cadence (probation reviews + bi annual check-ins) and roll out templates/tools.
· Maintain compliance with applicable labor laws; keep documentation and employee records accurate, complete, and secure.
Required Experience and Skills
· 3+ years in HR / People Operations in the GCC (startup or fast-growth preferred).
· Demonstrated success implementing and driving adoption of an HRIS (Odoo experience is a strong plus).
· Strong operational execution: recruitment administration, onboarding/offboarding, employee file management, and HR documentation.
· Comfortable partnering with Operations and Finance; able to design process, not just run tasks.
· Solid understanding of labor law fundamentals in relevant jurisdictions and how to apply them in practical policy.
· High accountability, discretion, and comfort handling confidential information.
· Excellent written communication; able to create clear SOPs, templates, and employee communications.
Nice-to-Have
· Hands-on Odoo HR modules experience (Recruitment, Employees, Contracts, Payroll readiness, Appraisals).
· Experience building job architecture: job descriptions, role clarity, and basic leveling.
· Experience with HR analytics and dashboards.
What You Will Deliver in the First 90 Days
· Recruitment pipeline running fully in Odoo with required notes/scorecards and a usable global candidate database.
· Onboarding and offboarding SOPs and checklists implemented and used for all joins/leavers.
· Employee records and contracts brought to an agreed completeness standard inside Odoo.
· A simple performance check-in cadence launched (probation + biannual) with templates or tools in place.
