Roles & Responsibilities

The Humanities Teacher will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across the Humanities subjects, ensuring all pupils make excellent progress. You will inspire curiosity, critical thinking and a love of learning, while contributing fully to the academic, pastoral and wider life of the school.

This role requires a teacher who is committed to developing pupils academically, socially, and personally ensuring each child achieves their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning

  • Deliver engaging, well-planned lessons that reflect the school s curriculum, policies and high expectations.
  • Facilitate excellent progress for all pupils through effective differentiation, assessment and feedback.
  • Maintain strong behaviour management in line with school policy.
  • Use data to inform planning, target-setting and reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and contribute to the academic monitoring of pupils.

  • Model and promote the school s vision and values across all aspects of school life.
  • Offer outstanding pastoral care and demonstrate respect for Saudi culture.
  • Participate actively in school life, co-curricular activities, and community events.

Pastoral & Co-Curricular

  • Supervise and support pupils during break/lunch duties.
  • Play an active role in the school s co-curricular programme, House system and wider school events.

  • Maintain high standards of professional conduct, integrity, punctuality and presentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor s Degree /PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification /Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant teaching experience (Essential).
  • Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum (Essential).
  • A proven ability to inspire, motivate, and engage pupils of all abilities (Essential).
  • Strong classroom management and pastoral skills (Essential).
  • Experience working with EAL learners (Desirable).
  • An understanding of the expectations of UK independent and international schools (Desirable).
