Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • •Independently carry out termination, jointing and repair works on HV cables strictly in accordance with client Safety Rules and Regulations.
  • •Need to do standby duty at places where the Contractor exposed or temporary protected cables on instruction from the Engineer or Supervisor.
  • •To work after normal duty hours extensively to complete jointing work in case of emergency.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Trade certificate of competency issued by a jointing school acceptable to KAHRAMAA certifying his experience and training in the installation of joints and terminations of XLPE cables up to and including 132 kV.
  • Ability to communicate, read and write in English at Secondary School Level.
  • Minimum 06 years of experience in installations, jointing and termination of 132kV, 66kV, 33kV and 11kV Cables in a power utility or cable contracting and/or installation company.
  • Hands on experience in different types of jointing and termination techniques and ability to read and understand the Jointing instructions and drawings.
  • Ability of identifying the parts and usage of proper tools. Knowledge of Safety Rules and Regulation
