Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed load calculations using software tools to determine heating and cooling requirements for diverse building types.
  • Create innovative HVAC system designs that optimize energy efficiency while meeting client specifications and compliance standards.
  • Develop comprehensive HVAC plans, including ductwork layouts and equipment selection, ensuring seamless installation processes.
  • Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate HVAC solutions into overall building designs, enhancing aesthetics and functionality.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a focus on HVAC systems design.

  • Professional certification such as LEED AP or ASHRAE certification is highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC system design within commercial or industrial sectors.

  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations, ensuring compliance in all designs.

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled HVAC Draftsman to prepare detailed technical drawings and layouts for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The candidate will work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure accurate and efficient design execution.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare HVAC shop drawings, layouts, and detailed plans using AutoCAD or similar software

    • Develop ducting, piping, and equipment layout drawings based on design specifications

    • Coordinate with mechanical engineers and site teams for drawing approvals and revisions

    • Modify and update drawings as per project requirements and site conditions

    • Ensure all drawings comply with local standards and project specifications

    • Prepare as-built drawings after project completion

    • Maintain proper documentation and drawing records

    Requirements:

    • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

    • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an HVAC Draftsman

    • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit knowledge is an advantage)

    • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ducting, and piping layouts

    • Knowledge of local codes and standards (Qatar experience preferred)

    • Good communication and coordination skills

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience in commercial and residential HVAC projects

    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

    • Attention to detail and accuracy
