Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The HVAC Mechanical Engineer manages the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems on construction projects, ensuring all works are delivered in compliance with approved designs, specifications, and UAE regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise HVAC installation works including AHUs, FCUs, VAV systems, ductwork, and chilled water distribution.

  • Review HVAC shop drawings and coordinate with the design team for technical clarifications.

  • Coordinate HVAC works with other MEP and civil disciplines on site.

  • Manage HVAC subcontractors and monitor quality, progress, and HSE compliance.

  • Prepare HVAC material submittals and track approval status.

  • Oversee HVAC testing and balancing (TAB), pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.

  • Ensure compliance with UAE Civil Defence requirements for smoke extract and pressurization systems.

  • Contribute to HVAC progress reporting and participate in site coordination meetings.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 6–10 years of HVAC site experience with a Tier 1 UAE MEP contractor.

  • 2–5 years on villa/building construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, UAE Civil Defence requirements, and ASHRAE standards.
