Job Overview:

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within the shipyard and industrial facilities. The role requires hands-on experience in diagnosing system malfunctions, performing routine preventive maintenance, and ensuring efficient and safe operation of HVAC systems in compliance with company and safety standards.

Job Role & Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including chillers, compressors, air handlers, ducting, and ventilation systems.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks to ensure equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems and perform necessary repairs.
• Inspect and replace filters, belts, motors, and other components as needed.
• Ensure HVAC systems comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other maintenance staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure adherence to company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at all times.
• Support installation and commissioning of new HVAC units as required.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 3u20136 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair within the shipyard, industrial, or construction sector.
• Gulf experience preferred.
• Must have experience handling large industrial HVAC systems.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC system operation, components, and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in refrigerant charging, pressure testing, and system balancing.
• Familiarity with electrical circuits related to HVAC control systems.
• Understanding of ventilation and air balancing techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and technical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
