Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain hydraulic systems including pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, accumulators, filters, and hydraulic power units (HPUs).

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic circuit faults using hydraulic diagrams, pressure gauges, flow meters, and diagnostic equipment.

  • Perform overhaul and reconditioning of hydraulic components including seal replacement, piston reconditioning, and valve body repair.

  • Monitor hydraulic fluid condition and manage fluid analysis programs to detect contamination and degradation.

  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules on vehicle hoists, lifting platforms, workshop presses, and other hydraulic facility equipment.

  • Fabricate and install hydraulic pipework and hose assemblies to the correct specification and pressure ratings.

  • Assist in the design review and modification of hydraulic schematics for facility improvement projects.

  • Maintain an adequate spare parts inventory for critical hydraulic components.

  • Ensure all hydraulic systems comply with applicable pressure vessel regulations and UAE safety standards.

  • Record all maintenance activities, inspections, and fluid analysis results.

  • Support the maintenance of military vehicles with hydraulic system faults when required.

  • Train and guide junior maintenance staff on hydraulic safety and maintenance best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong working knowledge of hydraulic circuit design, schematics, and ISO symbols.
  • Proficiency with hydraulic diagnostic tools including portable test kits and data loggers.
  • Experience with major hydraulic component brands such as Bosch Rexroth, Parker, Eaton, or Danfoss.
  • Knowledge of proportional and servo hydraulic systems is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic systems and their interface with hydraulic circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic circuit diagrams and engineering drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety practices for fluid power systems.
  • Physical fitness to perform manual handling and work in confined spaces and at height.
