Location: Qatar Industry: Oil & Gas Construction (Subcontract Scope)

Fourth Dimension Group is a subcontractor supporting major Oil & Gas projects in Qatar and UAE. Our scope includes mechanical and piping construction works such as fabrication, erection, hydrotesting, pre-commissioning, and site execution coordination with the main contractor.


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Hydrotest Engineer with strong Oil & Gas background to manage and supervise hydrostatic and pneumatic testing activities for piping systems within major industrial projects in Qatar. The candidate must have hands-on experience in preparing test packs, coordinating with QA/QC and construction teams, and ensuring safe and compliant execution of testing activities.


Project Scope

Mechanical and piping construction works for Oil & Gas projects, including fabrication, installation/erection, hydrotesting, pre-commissioning activities, and overall site execution supervision in coordination with the main contractor.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review hydrostatic & pneumatic test packages

  • Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection and test approvals

  • Supervise pressure testing, flushing, air blowing, drying, and reinstatement activities

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and ASME standards

  • Coordinate with construction, HSE, and client representatives

  • Monitor manpower and testing equipment deployment

  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports

  • Participate in punch list clearance and mechanical completion activities

  • Ensure strict compliance with PTW and HSE procedures

Desired Candidate Profile

Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

  • Minimum 10+ years Oil & Gas experience

  • Strong GCC experience preferred

  • Extensive experience in hydrotesting of piping systems

  • Experience in refinery, LNG, petrochemical, or pipeline projects

  • Strong knowledge of ASME B31.1 / B31.3 standards

  • Experience in EPC project environment (working under main contractor)

  • Good communication and coordination skills


Important Note

Only candidates with strong Oil & Gas hydrotesting experience will be shortlisted.
