Roles & Responsibilities

To ensure the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation, and cleanliness are maintained throughout the dairy factory, in compliance with food safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company policies. The Hygiene Officer will supervise all hygiene helpers and cleaners, ensuring all cleaning and sanitation activities are effectively executed and documented.


  • Supervise, train, and guide staff, cleaners, and helpers across the factory (production, packaging, storage, utilities, and common areas).
  • Prepare daily cleaning schedules and assign duties to hygiene personnel.
  • Monitor and verify that all cleaning activities are completed according to the approved cleaning schedules and SOPs.
  • Ensure proper discipline, punctuality, and hygiene practices among the cleaning team.
  • Oversee cleaning and sanitation of all production equipment, floors, drains, walls, and food-contact surfaces.
  • Ensure cleaning chemicals are correctly used, handled, and stored according to safety guidelines.
  • Maintain records of cleaning, sanitation activities.
  • Conduct routine hygiene inspections and report non-conformances to the Production Manager.
  • Train cleaning and production staff on proper hygiene, sanitation, and personal cleanliness procedures.
  • Conduct refresher training on chemical safety, cleaning techniques, and hygiene practices.
  • Suggest improvements in cleaning procedures and hygiene systems to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintain cleaning and sanitation logs, staff attendance, and chemical usage records.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly hygiene reports.
  • Report equipment or facility damage affecting hygiene to maintenance or management

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Dairy Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in food or dairy industry hygiene management.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and cleaning , chemical handling.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
