Purpose of the job:

Will work in a multicultural team of Technicians within a discipline of Instrumentation and Control, Electrical or Mechanical and will carry out fault investigations, defect and preventative maintenance, together with modifications on a range of plant.

The position holder should have a detailed understanding and practical experience of the maintenance of modern combined cycle gas turbine plant, desalination plant and a wide range of auxiliary equipment.

Core Competencies Technical

• Good engineering foundation and practical knowledge of modern gas turbine and desalination plant maintenance
• A good understanding of the skills required by Technicians to undertake quality maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment management systems, safety rules and associated legislation.
• Organising spares, tools and equipment to carry out maintenance activities.
• Ability to carry out duties with minimum supervision.
• Ability to perform fault diagnosis, work planning and management.
• Practical knowledge of plant isolations from the system.
• Good command of the English language.
• Knowledge of a computerised maintenance management tool like Maximo.
