IB English Teacher

An established international school in Bahrain is looking to appoint a passionate and experienced IB English Teacher for the August 2026 academic year. The school delivers the IB curriculum and is dedicated to fostering academic excellence, creativity, and a love of learning in a diverse international community.

This role is ideal for an English educator with a strong command of the IB framework and a desire to contribute to a collaborative and student-centred environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English within the IB MYP and/or DP framework

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that promote analytical and creative thinking

• Assess student learning in line with IB expectations and provide constructive feedback

• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary learning

• Participate actively in school life and professional development initiatives

Requirements:

• Fully qualified teacher with a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent)

• Proven experience teaching English within the IB curriculum (MYP and/or DP)

• Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high academic standards

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• A passion for international education and the IB learner profile
