IB PYP Coordinator

An established international school in Bahrain is seeking a dedicated and experienced IB PYP Coordinator to join their team in August 2026. The school delivers the full IB curriculum and is committed to fostering inquiry-led, student-centred learning in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and work closely with staff, students, and parents to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the implementation of the IB PYP across the school

• Support teachers with planning, assessment, and ensuring alignment with IB standards and practices

• Oversee professional development related to the PYP and support ongoing teacher training

• Maintain documentation, reporting, and communication with the IB organisation

• Collaborate with school leadership on curriculum development and strategic planning

• Foster a positive, inquiry-based learning environment across all primary year levels

Requirements:

• Fully qualified teacher with a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent)

• Proven experience teaching within the IB Primary Years Programme

• Prior experience in a PYP Coordinator or similar leadership role is highly desirable

• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Passion for international education and the IB philosophy
