About ICDL Arabia

ICDL is an internationally recognized certification providing evidence that an individual possesses the skills in a variety of ICT topics. Offered in 100 countries, 48 languages, and with over 70 million tests taken worldwide, ICDL is an ICT qualification that represents unwavering ethos based on three pillars: 1) credibility, 2) vendor neutrality and 3) social impact. Building on UNESCO's pioneering role with the introduction of the ICDL digital literacy certification to the Arab region in 2001, and the overwhelming success witnessed by this programme particularly in the Arab region, ICDL Foundation, the not-for-profit global governing body of the ICDL member countries, decided that it is for the benefit of the Gulf States to establish on the ground support for its programmes by creating regional presence with the formation of ICDL GCC Foundation, known today as ICDL Arabia.
