Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure ICLA/Protection activities align with approved proposals, donor requirements, NRC policies, international standards, and local customs.
Serve as focal point for needs assessments, beneficiary selection, and field implementation (subject to security clearance).
Oversee the full project cycle ,implementation, monitoring, verification, and evaluation, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
Provide guidance and information to beneficiaries; conduct awareness sessions and capacity-building for local authorities.
Apply participatory and inclusive approaches that strengthen community self-reliance and local capacities.
Maintain understanding of the ICLA/Protection context, including national and international legal frameworks.
Support the development, maintenance, and updating of case management systems and service provider mapping.
Conduct outreach, awareness campaigns, and advocacy initiatives through group information sessions.
Guide beneficiaries seeking legal counselling and ensuring appropriate referrals.
Contribute to needs assessments, studies, and research using participatory tools (FGDs, interviews, surveys).
Conduct training sessions and identify capacity-building needs for target groups.
Assist in strategic review, monitoring, and evaluation of ICLA/Protection activities.
Monitor policies and contextual changes affecting IDPs; collect and analyze relevant field information.
Build strong relationships with beneficiaries through regular engagement and visits.
Document findings, prepare assessment reports, and produce quantitative and qualitative activity analyses.
Support awareness-raising and community mobilization activities with the NRC team.
Represent NRC in ICLA/ protection cluster and working group meetings.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the ICLA/Protection Team Leader and Area Program Manager.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience:
University degree in law, social studies, development studies / other relevant field/ the equivalent
Minimum of 3 years work experience with NGO, legal or international organization in the area of protection or human rights
Experience from working with protection and legal assistance projects in a humanitarian/recovery context
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Documented results related to the position s responsibilities
Knowledge about own skills/profile
Knowledge of English
- Context Related Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
Knowledge of the context in Yemen
Knowledge of English and the local language
Experience with the Microsoft Suite
