Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor and interpret complex orthopedic patient data, including vital signs, lab results, and neurological assessments, to detect subtle changes indicating complications.
- Administer specialized orthopedic medications, including analgesics, antibiotics, and anticoagulants, while meticulously monitoring for adverse reactions and ensuring optimal pain management.
- Provide expert care for patients with orthopedic trauma, such as fractures, dislocations, and post-operative complications, utilizing advanced wound care techniques and immobilization strategies.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless transitions across the care continuum.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license, demonstrating professional competence and adherence to ethical standards.
- Holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, reflecting a commitment to advanced nursing education and critical thinking skills.
- Holds a current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications, showcasing preparedness for emergency situations.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting, demonstrating proficiency in critical care nursing principles.
