A leading Group of Companies in Africa is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Manager to manage and oversee international shipments from supplier confirmation until cargo arrival at destination port.

Job Description:

• Take full ownership of shipments after supplier deal confirmation.
• Coordinate bookings with freight forwarders and shipping lines.
• Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely delivery to port.
• Review and manage all shipping documentation (Invoice, Packing List, BL, Certificate of Origin, etc.).
• Prepare and process BI, DI, and all required import documentation.
• Ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with banks (LC documentation when applicable).
• Control freight costs and prevent demurrage/detention risks.
• Provide regular shipment status updates to management.
