Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all import logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to track and monitor shipments.
  • Prepare and review import documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and certificates of origin.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
  • Resolve issues related to shipment delays, customs clearance, and transportation discrepancies.
  • Negotiate rates and terms with logistics service providers to optimize costs and service levels.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate receipt of imported goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and logistics activities.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on shipment status and logistics performance.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in import logistics, international shipping, or supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of import/export regulations and customs procedures.
  • Proficiency in arranging the ACID number for each invoice on the Nafeza system.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with vendors and service providers.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with documentation and compliance requirements for international trade.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess logistics performance and identify improvements.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
