Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Daily PO follow-up with suppliers in China, Pakistan, and the UK — chasing production, confirming readiness, booking shipments.
- Sea and air freight booking, tracking, and consolidation.
- Customs paperwork — including HMRC import declarations for stock landing in the UK.
- Landed-cost calculations for each shipment.
- Maintaining shipment trackers and stock-arrival forecasts that feed into the trading team’s OTB.
- Resolving issues at any point in the supply chain — production delays, freight delays, customs holds, damaged stock.
- Building strong working relationships with our freight-forwarder network.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum 1 year of online retail / e-commerce supply chain experience.
- Practical working knowledge of FOB / CIF / DDP Incoterms.
- Familiarity with freight forwarders (Maersk, DSV, Aramex, regional consolidators) and UK customs (HMRC import declarations).
- Strong Excel skills for landed-cost calculations and shipment trackers.
- Fluent written and spoken business English.
- Currently UAE-resident, or with prior UAE work experience.
- Prior experience sourcing from China — direct supplier relationships in Yiwu, Guangzhou, or Shenzhen.
- Fashion / apparel supply-chain experience.
