Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all import operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Liaise with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth import processes.
- Prepare and review import documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve any issues or delays in the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant import regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
- Negotiate shipping rates and terms with logistics providers to optimize costs and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and update internal systems accordingly.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to align import activities with business needs.
- Analyze import data and generate reports to support decision-making and process improvements.
- Stay updated on changes in international trade laws, tariffs, and market trends affecting imports.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 2-3 years of proven experience in import operations, international logistics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of import regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using logistics and ERP software for tracking and managing shipments.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills for dealing with suppliers and service providers.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
- Problem-solving skills to address and resolve shipment or compliance issues.
- Familiarity with sanitary ware, ceramics, or building materials industry is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
