Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end import operations from booking to final clearance
Coordinate directly with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers
Prepare, review, and align all shipping and clearance documentation (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.)
Ensure proper handling and validity of import licenses and regulatory approvals
Follow up on shipments, monitor ETAs, and proactively resolve delays
Ensure compliance with local customs regulations and FMCG import requirements
Communicate with international suppliers to ensure correct documentation and compliance procedures before shipment
Coordinate internally with procurement, finance, and warehouse teams for smooth goods receipt
Desired Candidate Profile
Proven experience as an Import Specialist, preferably in an FMCG environment
Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs clearance procedures, and documentation
Experience handling food/non-food FMCG compliance requirements
Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously with high accuracy
Strong organizational and communication skills
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure
