Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including supplier, private label, distribution, franchise, logistics, service agreements, and NDAs.
Advise management on UAE laws and regulatory requirements, including Commercial Companies Law, Consumer Protection, and Labour Law.
Support retail expansion initiatives, including lease negotiations and new store rollouts.
Oversee corporate governance matters, legal compliance, board documentation, and regulatory filings.
Ensure legal compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Draft, review, and update internal policies applicable to the organization.
Manage disputes, litigation, and claims, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
Develop and implement internal compliance policies and risk mitigation frameworks.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments and proactively advise management on potential impacts.
Provide legal support on employment matters and internal investigations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB); Master’s Degree preferred.
5–10 years post-qualification experience (PQE), ideally in retail, FMCG, or commercial sectors.
Prior in-house experience in the UAE is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of UAE commercial and corporate laws.
Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
Strong business acumen with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
