Roles & Responsibilities

Job overview
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students with learning differences or special education needs.

  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, inclusion staff, and parents to implement personalized support strategies.

  • Assist in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure ongoing monitoring and review.

  • Support students emotional and social well-being through evidence-based interventions and counseling.

  • Facilitate professional development workshops for staff related to inclusive practices and student support.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of student records and ensure adherence to ethical standards.

    Bachelor s degree in Counseling, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master s degree preferred).

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a school setting, preferably in an inclusion or counseling role.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated understanding of inclusive education models and support frameworks.

  • Familiarity with or willingness to adopt Conscious Discipline and child-centered approaches.
