Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and ensure quality standards.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and time studies, especially within sewing and garment assembly lines.
- Conduct line balancing, work-study analysis, and efficiency tracking for sewing operations.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and planning teams to ensure alignment on output goals and performance metrics.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce downtime.
- Monitor and analyze general sewing data to identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements.
- Design factory layout and workstation setup to enhance ergonomics and reduce motion waste.
- Support training of operators and supervisors in new methods and production techniques.
- Prepare and present reports on productivity, efficiency, and other KPIs to management.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Preferred: Experience working in the apparel/garment manufacturing industry.
- Preferred: Strong knowledge of general sewing operations, SMV (Standard Minute Value) calculation, and sewing data analysis.
- Proficient in using time study software and Excel; familiarity with GSD or similar systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
