Roles & Responsibilities

Role Summary

  • Provide clinical leadership within the Infection Control Department, dedicating 80% of working time to supervising infection preventionists, managing IPC programs, overseeing surveillance data and KPIs, implementing corrective actions, coordinating stakeholders, and leading outbreak response and risk mitigation efforts.

Core Responsibilities
  • Supervise infection preventionists and oversee IPC strategies and programs.
  • Manage surveillance data, review KPIs, and lead corrective action plans.
  • Conduct IPC rounds, approve policies, and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Lead outbreak investigations and regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Provide education and advise leadership on resources and improvements.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
  • Specialist Board qualification in General Medicine
  • Sub-specialty/ Fellowship in Infectious Disease - American Board / FRCSC Canada / CCT UK / Facharzt Germany / FRACS Australia or NZ
  • Minimum 1 year professional experience Infectious Diseases
  • Valid license to practice from country of origin
  • Must qualify for Consultant Infectious Diseases classification with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties
  • Life Support certification course
