Informatica Developer with BDM

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ETL/ELT processes using Informatica BDM and PowerCenter.
• Work with large-scale data integration, ingestion, and transformation pipelines.
• Build and optimize workflows for Hadoop/Spark-based ecosystems.
• Develop complex mappings, sessions, workflows, and job orchestration.
• Integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to deploy data pipelines into big-data platforms.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of ETL jobs.
• Ensure data quality, data validation, and error handling frameworks.
• Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, and technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6-12 years of experience in Informatica PowerCenter / Informatica BDM.
• Strong background in Big Data Management, data ingestion, and large-scale ETL development.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Impala, Sqoop, Kafka preferred).
• Strong knowledge of SQL on RDBMS (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, etc.).
• Experience with Linux/Unix for scripting and automation (Shell scripts).
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with workflow scheduling tools (Autosys, Control-M) is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Informatica Developer Tool, IDQ (Data Quality).
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins).
• Exposure to real-time integration tools like Kafka.
• Certification in Informatica or Big Data technologies.
