Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Informatica EDC Consultant to support enterprise data governance and metadata management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), including scanning, metadata management, and lineage creation. You will be responsible for implementing and managing data catalog capabilities to improve data discovery, governance, and lineage visibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) to support enterprise data governance initiatives.

• Perform data source scanning and metadata harvesting from various enterprise systems.

• Curate and maintain technical metadata, business metadata, and data lineage within the EDC platform.

• Develop and configure custom scanners, Metadex scanners, and advanced scanners to capture metadata and lineage from complex systems.

• Implement and manage end-to-end technical and business lineage across multiple data sources and applications.

• Collaborate with data governance, data engineering, and business teams to ensure accurate metadata and catalog structures.

• Support data discovery, data classification, and catalog enrichment activities.

• Troubleshoot scanner issues and optimize metadata ingestion processes.

• Document metadata models, scanning configurations, and lineage frameworks.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of overall IT experience with strong exposure to data governance and metadata management tools.

• Hands-on experience with Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC).

• Strong experience with metadata scanning, catalog curation, and lineage creation.

• Experience with Informatica EDC Custom Scanners and Metadex scanners.

• Ability to implement advanced scanners to build custom end-to-end lineage.

• Understanding of data governance frameworks, data cataloging, and metadata management concepts.

• Experience working with various data sources such as databases, ETL tools, and reporting systems.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Informatica Data Governance tools (Axon).

• Knowledge of ETL tools, data warehousing, and data integration platforms.

• Experience working in large enterprise data environments.
