Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Informatica EDC (Enterprise Data Catalog) Consultant to join our team in Riyadh for an onsite engagement. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing and configuring Enterprise Data Catalog solutions, data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data lineage across enterprise systems. The role requires strong technical expertise along with stakeholder collaboration to enhance data visibility, compliance, and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead implementation and configuration of Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC).
- Install, upgrade, and maintain EDC environments (Dev, Test, Prod).
- Configure metadata extraction from databases, ETL tools, BI tools, and cloud platforms.
- Implement data lineage, impact analysis, and metadata discovery processes.
- Integrate EDC with data governance tools such as Informatica Axon Data Governance.
- Develop and customize scanners, resource configurations, and metadata ingestion workflows.
- Implement business glossary, data classification, and data quality rule linkage.
- Support data stewardship processes and governance workflows.
- Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting of EDC platform.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance and security standards.
- Collaborate with data architects, BI teams, and business stakeholders.
- Prepare technical documentation and user training materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data management solutions.
- Minimum 3+ years hands-on experience with Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog.
- Strong knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and data catalog concepts.
- Experience integrating EDC with databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.), ETL tools, and BI platforms.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance standards.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Strong SQL knowledge and understanding of data architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
