Information Literacy and Graduate Services Librarian

Key Responsibilities:

• - Participates in the development, delivery and coordination of library use and research skills courses and workshops.
• - Teaches the LISP200 Information Skills & Search Techniques courses under the direction of the course coordinator.
• - Assist in planning and organizing the library orientation events and activities.
• - Contributes to the development and delivery of seminars and workshops for faculty members and students related to thesis formatting, library services, and search techniques.
• - Develops and maintains library research guides in collaboration with other librarians and subject specialists.
• - Provides graduate services support to students and faculty members regarding the institutional thesis formatting requirements.
• - Updates citation and referencing guidelines (APA and MLA) and serves as RefWorks administrator.
• - Performs other duties as required to ensure the continuous and effective functioning of the library.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• - Master s degree in Library and Information Science or any related field with strong knowledge in research and instruction services.
• - Relevant experience or training in public services in general and reference services in particular.
• - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English, with good oral and written proficiency in French.
• - Strong interpersonal skills, excellent teaching abilities, remarkable teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• - Service-oriented, with the ability to work collaboratively and interact effectively with colleagues and library users.
• - Computer proficiency (production applications, and general computer competencies).
