Job description
The Infrastructure Project Manager manages the implementation and evolution of technical environments (systems, networks, storage, security, cloud, etc.) in compliance with performance, quality and budget requirements. He acts as a real conductor between the technical teams, the service providers and the business lines, guaranteeing the success of end-to-end infrastructure projects.
Main missions
1. Project Management
Define the organization and governance of infrastructure projects.
Evaluate the costs, estimate the budget and establish the overall project schedule.
Determine the necessary resources (human, technical, financial) and ensure their availability.
Ensure the delivery of the project in accordance with the objectives defined in the baseline (budget, quality, deadlines, scope).
Identify, analyze and manage project risks, while ensuring the implementation of appropriate mitigation plans.
Monitor the progress of the work and produce regular reports for the governance bodies.
Monitor and analyze the project's performance indicators (KPIs) and propose corrective actions if necessary.
2. Technical expertise
Master the key areas of infrastructure:
Compute, storage, and networking capacity.
Network architectures and operating systems.
Cloud computing (private, public, hybrid).
Databases and IT security.
Supervision, monitoring and automation tools (scripting, orchestration, etc.).
Participate in the design of technical architectures and the choice of solutions in conjunction with experts and architects.
Support the teams in the implementation of technical solutions and guarantee compliance with company standards.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Higher education (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Networks or Information Systems.
Significant experience (5 to 10 years) in the management of IT infrastructure projects, in a complex or multi-site environment.
Technical skills
Strong knowledge of systems (Windows, Linux), virtualization, storage, networking, cloud and cybersecurity.
Mastery of project monitoring tools (MS Project, JIRA, etc.).
Knowledge of monitoring and automation tools (Ansible, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.).
Behavioural Competencies
Leadership and ability to federate multidisciplinary teams.
Analytical skills and a sense of rigor.
Good oral and written communication.
Ability to manage priorities and work in demanding contexts.
Certifications
ITIL certification recommended.
A certification in project management (PMP, Prince2, Agile) would be a plus.
