Position Overview

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is seeking an experienced Inspection Engineer to oversee inspection planning, coordination, and implementation within the Right of Way Department. This role ensures compliance with legislations, improves inspection processes, and strengthens communication with consultants, contractors, and external authorities.

Core Duties


* Develop inspection route allocations and action plans for all activities in alignment with field inspection plans
* Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal units regarding violations, obstacles, and right-of-way inspections
* Plan and implement annual inspection campaigns in coordination with internal and external entities, and prepare related reports
* Evaluate and analyze section processes using KPIs, making recommendations for efficiency improvements
* Review legislations related to inspection activities and propose necessary amendments
* Prepare draft agreements and MOUs with internal and external government authorities concerning right-of-way inspections
* Investigate complaints and objections, recommend measures, and report results to section management
* Supervise team operations, assign tasks, and monitor compliance with inspection standards
* Lead and participate in inspection-related workshops, addressing consultant and contractor inquiries
* Develop and enhance inspection policies, integrating IT initiatives to streamline inspection processes
* Conduct field visits to audit inspection quality and compliance with plans
* Ensure alignment with Disciplinary Inspection Policy and follow through on NCR closure in regulatory audits
* Perform root cause analysis of repeated violations and propose preventive strategies

Candidate Requirements

* Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
* Minimum 8 years of professional experience in inspection, right-of-way, or related civil engineering roles
* Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, inspection policies, and right-of-way standards
* Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills
* Strong communication abilities for coordinating with contractors, consultants, and government entities
* Proficiency in report preparation, KPI analysis, and inspection process improvements
