Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Site Inspections and Monitoring:
Conduct routine and detailed inspections of assigned works to ensure activities are carried out as per approved plans and project requirements.
Compliance with Drawings and Specifications:
Verify that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, codes, and contractual requirements. Report any deviations or non-compliance promptly to the Resident Engineer.
Quality Control:
Monitor the quality of materials, workmanship, and installation methods to ensure compliance with approved specifications and project standards.
Testing and Verification:
Assist in conducting, witnessing, and reviewing inspection and testing activities to verify that materials and construction methods meet required standards.
Work Progress Monitoring:
Monitor daily work progress against the approved schedule. Identify delays or constraints and report issues to the Resident Engineer, supporting coordination for timely resolution.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
Ensure all site activities comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations. Participate in safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, checklists, test results, approvals, and non-conformance records. Submit regular progress and quality reports to the Resident Engineer.
Coordination with Contractors:
Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to facilitate smooth execution of site activities. Assist in resolving site-related issues under the guidance of the Resident Engineer.
Client and Stakeholder Support:
Support the Resident Engineer during client meetings, inspections, and site visits by providing relevant technical information and inspection status updates.
Desired Candidate Profile
Must have prior experience in waste water treatment projects within GCC. (WWTP)
Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and regulations, particularly in the UAE or Gulf region.
Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Strong attention to detail for detecting deficiencies in materials, workmanship, and construction methods.
Ability to identify potential issues early in the construction process and assist in resolving them effectively.
Ability to implement and monitor quality control procedures on-site.
Knowledge of material testing procedures and ability to ensure that tests are performed and documented correctly.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to report issues and provide updates to the Resident Engineer and the project team.
Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Applicants must be from the following background - Civil / Electrical / Mechanical / MEP with experience working at waste water treatment plants within GCC.
