Roles & Responsibilities


Analysis and Reporting
Trend Analysis: Analyze institutional trends over time, such as enrollment patterns, retention rates, graduation rates, and student performance metrics.
Statistical Analysis: Use statistical methods to analyze data related to student achievement, faculty performance, and operational efficiency.
Benchmarking: Compare institutional data with peer institutions or national averages to assess institutional performance and identify areas for improvement.
Custom Reports: Prepare and generate custom reports for institutional leadership, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders based on specific needs or requests.

Support for Institutional Planning
Strategic Planning Support: Provide data and analysis to inform strategic planning efforts, including setting institutional goals and priorities.
Program Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs, student services, and other institutional initiatives through data analysis to support continuous improvement.
Resource Allocation: Provide data-driven insights to inform decisions on resource allocation, including budget planning and faculty staffing.
Predictive Analytics: Use predictive modelling and forecasting techniques to project future trends, such as enrolment patterns, financial aid needs, and student success rates.
Accreditation and Compliance Reporting
Accreditation Support: Support the accreditation process by providing data and evidence needed for accreditation reports
Survey Administration: Design, administer, and analyze surveys related to institutional effectiveness, student satisfaction, alumni engagement, and faculty and staff performance.

Student Feedback: Design and administer surveys to gather student feedback on teaching effectiveness, course content, and overall learning experiences.
Stakeholder Input: Collect feedback from other stakeholders (e.g., employers, alumni) to assess how well academic programs prepare students for post-graduation success.
Exit Surveys and Alumni Surveys: Use surveys and other feedback tools to assess student satisfaction and alumni outcomes, helping to evaluate long-term program effectiveness.
Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data relevant to academic program performance, student outcomes, faculty qualifications, and other areas relevant to accreditation criteria.
Effectiveness Reporting: Compile and analyze data on student success, graduation rates, retention rates, and other academic performance indicators to demonstrate institutional effectiveness.
Policy Feedback: Collect feedback from faculty, staff, and students regarding the clarity, effectiveness, and impact of policies and procedures.

Support for Institutional Effectiveness
Program Assessment: Provide data support for program assessment efforts, helping departments evaluate the quality and impact of academic programs, student services, and administrative functions.
Continuous Improvement: Support a culture of continuous improvement by providing data that helps identify areas for growth and track progress over time.
Decision Support for Leadership
Executive Dashboards: Create and maintain dashboards for senior leadership that provide real-time, actionable data about key institutional metrics (e.g., enrollment trends, student success indicators, and financial health).
Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc analysis to address specific questions or emerging issues facing the institution, providing timely and accurate data to inform decision-making.
Enrollment Management Support
Enrollment Trends: Analyze data related to enrollment patterns, including factors such as recruitment, retention, graduation rates, and demographic trends.
Forecasting Enrollment: Use historical data to forecast future enrollment trends, helping the institution plan for admissions, capacity, and resource needs.
Student Success Metrics: Monitor and analyze student success metrics, including retention, graduation, and completion rates, to inform retention strategies and improve student outcomes.
Faculty and Staff Research and Analysis
Faculty Data Analysis: Analyze data on faculty performance, teaching loads, research outputs, and professional development to support institutional planning and improvement.
Staff Performance Analysis: Collect and analyze data on staff performance, satisfaction, and engagement to inform decisions on professional development and staffing needs.
Workforce Planning: Provide data to support workforce planning, including analysis of faculty-staff ratios, staffing needs, and workload distribution.

Collaboration and Communication
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with academic departments, student services, administration, and other institutional units to ensure that data needs are met and that information is shared effectively across the institution.
External Reporting: Communicate institutional data to external stakeholders, including government agencies, accrediting bodies, and external auditors.
Internal Communication: Regularly disseminate research findings and institutional data to stakeholders across the institution to ensure transparency and informed decision-making.


Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Master s degree in educational research, Statistics, Data Science, Higher Education, or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in institutional research, data analytics, or related roles preferably in higher education.
  • Knowledge of regional and international accreditation standards (e.g., UAE CAA, ABET, AACSB). Familiarity with UAE higher education frameworks, including QFEmirates and national strategic initiatives.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and managing institutional research projects and reports.
  • Understanding of institutional effectiveness models, strategic planning, and performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, and ethical standards in institutional data management.
  • Experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Proficiency in survey design and administration using platforms such as Explorance Blue
