Roles & Responsibilities
The Department of Special & Gifted Education at the College of Education, United Arab Emirates University, invites applications for the position of Instructor.
The language of instruction is English; therefore, proficiency in English is essential.
Minimum Qualification
Only qualified candidates with strong academic and research accomplishments will be considered. Applicants are expected to hold either a Ph.D. in Special Education or a Master s degree in Special Education, along with proven teaching experience in the field of Special & Gifted Education at the college level.
Preferred Qualification
Successful candidates should have experience working with students with special needs, including those with autism, gifted and talented children, language delays, learning disabilities, and speech and language disorders. Knowledge and experience in using assessment tools and diagnostic procedures in educational settings are essential. Familiarity with assistive technology and the use of AI tools in special education is considered an asset.
Desired Candidate Profile
Candidates must hold a Master s degree or, preferably, a Ph.D. in Special Education. Applicants should have a strong record of academic and research achievements, along with teaching experience in the field of Special & Gifted Education. A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and undergraduate student advising is essential. The successful candidate must have hands-on experience working with individuals with special needs, including students with autism, gifted and talented children, language delays, learning disabilities, and speech and language disorders. Proficiency in the use of educational assessment tools and diagnostic procedures is required.
