Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Instructor for Students with Hearing Impairments will support inclusive learning within the academic department. Key responsibilities include:
- Teach undergraduate courses for deaf and hard-of-hearing students using accessible methods, including sign language and visual tools.
- Publish at least one research paper in a Scopus-indexed journal.
- Demonstrate strong teaching and research skills, with a focus on inclusive education.
- Use sign language effectively and maintain strong communication skills.
- Apply innovative, student-centered teaching methods, including digital and visual resources.
- Support department activities, including student advising and committee work.
- Utilize relevant technology and show commitment to educational innovation.
Desired Candidate Profile
To be eligible for the position, the candidate must meet the following requirements:
- The candidate must hold a full-time Master s degree in Computer Science from a university recognized by MOHERI. To ensure proper alignment of qualifications, the candidate s Bachelor s degree should also be in Computer Science.
- The candidate s Master s degree cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) should be no less than 3.20 on a 4-point scale.
- Candidates must have at least three years of higher education teaching experience in Computer Science at recognized institutions of higher education, post-Master s degree.
- The candidate should be under 40 years of age as of the appointment date.
