Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Objective:

Horizon University College seeks a dynamic and motivated faculty member for Instructor or Lecturer to teach undergraduate in School of Business & School of Computing, specialization in Computer Science, Information system & Data Analytics. All faculty members are expected to teach and contribute to curriculum development, pursue high-quality research, and actively engage in community service to the school and the institution.


Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Develop and Teach Courses: Deliver engaging courses that align with program objectives and learning outcomes. Contribute to curriculum design by creating new courses and updating existing ones to reflect advancements in the field.
  • Innovative Teaching and Student Engagement: Foster an interactive learning environment through experiential learning opportunities, real-world applications, and innovative teaching methods.
  • Student Mentorship: Provide academic and professional guidance to students, supporting their development and career readiness.
  • University Service: Participate actively in school and institutional community service activities, such as committee work, student advising, and outreach initiatives, etc

Desired Candidate Profile

Skills Required:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative spirit for engaging with students, colleagues, and external partners
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strategic planning and project management experience.

Qualification

· A Master Degree in the field of Computer Science or Information Systems.

· Demonstrated practical expertise and commitment to hands-on, experiential learning.

· Teaching experience at the undergraduate level, with a strong dedication to excellence in instruction and achieving student learning outcomes.
