Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute instrument commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards, from pre-commissioning to final handover.
  • Develop and review commissioning procedures, test plans, and method statements specific to instrumentation systems, including loop checks, function tests, and system integration.
  • Supervise and mentor commissioning team members, providing technical guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team.
  • Troubleshoot complex instrument-related issues, using diagnostic tools and expertise to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation systems with other plant components.
  • Perform detailed inspections of instrument installations, verifying compliance with design specifications, codes, and industry best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in engineering principles.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in commissioning instrumentation systems within the oil and gas, petrochemical, or power industries, showcasing practical expertise.
  • Exhibits a deep understanding of various instrument types, including transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and safety systems, reflecting technical proficiency.
  • Has a proven track record of successfully commissioning large-scale projects, highlighting project management and execution capabilities.
