Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are hiring an experienced Instrument / Fire & Gas Technician for a refinery-based project in Duqm, Oman. The candidate will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of gas detection and fire protection systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance for gas detectors and fire alarm systems of various brands.

  • Handle maintenance and troubleshooting of toxic gas detectors.

  • Coordinate and communicate effectively in English with the Main Control Room (MCR) team for enabling and disabling system tags.

  • Carry out maintenance of Deluge Valve Systems.

  • Perform servicing and maintenance of FM200 fire suppression systems.

  • Work in compliance with the Permit to Work (PTW) system.

  • Ensure adherence to refinery safety standards and HSE guidelines.


Desired Candidate Profile


  • 1–3 years of experience in refinery / oil & gas environment (preferred).

  • Hands-on experience in Fire & Gas systems maintenance.

  • Basic communication skills in English (mandatory for coordination with control room).

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and hazardous area practices.
