Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform calibration, testing, and maintenance of field instruments such as pressure, temperature, level, flow transmitters, Vibration Checking, Signal Checking and Loop checking

Troubleshoot and repair faults in instruments and control loops (Pneumatic, Analog, and Smart/Digital).

Work on control valves, positioners, solenoids, limit switches, I/P converters, and actuators.

Perform loop checking and functional testing for DCS/ESD/PLC systems during shutdowns.

Ensure proper documentation of calibration and maintenance activities as per SABIC standards.

Read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, instrument index, and wiring diagrams.

Carry out installation and termination of field instruments and cables as per site standards.

Assist in commissioning support during shutdown startup and post-maintenance checks.

Comply with all SABIC safety procedures, including LOTO, PTW, and use of PPE.

Coordinate with Electrical and Mechanical teams for integrated maintenance activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Technical Diploma or Industrial Training Certificate in Instrumentation or Control Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in instrument maintenance within petrochemical, refinery, or oil & gas plants.

Must have experience in shutdowns or turnarounds involving control and instrumentation systems.

Certifications (Preferred):

SABIC/Aramco Permit to Work Holder

Calibration Tools Handling Training

Hazardous Area Equipment (ATEX/IECEx) awareness

Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, H2S, Confined Space)
