Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The role holder is responsible to carry out skilled troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance of field instruments and systems, related to the Ammonia/Urea/Melamine plants. The role holder should be familiarized completely with the allocated area of work, the equipment / machinery involved and general idea of the process for which he is responsible for the maintenance activities. They will carry out day to day basic maintenance jobs independently under normal supervision. Housekeeping is an important issue, as is the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment. They must ensure that all the activities are carried out in compliance with QAFCO occupational health, Quality, Safety, Energy and Environment procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of High School + 2 years Diploma in relevant discipline
- Minimum of 5 years direct experience working in Fertilizer, Petrochemical, Chemical, or Oil & Gas Industry.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good experience of maintenance of Ammonia, Urea, Melamine and chemical processing plant.
- Experience and having good skills in Honeywell TDC 3000 DCS and PLC systems preferably Triconex & FSC, Troubleshooting and tuning of control loops, servicing and calibration of various field instruments for pressure, temperature, level and flow measurements and control valves with accessories.
- Good knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC), fire and gas systems, distributed control system (DCS), liquid analyzers of pH, conductivity, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), dissolved oxygen (DO) and chlorine, gas chromatograph, calibration and replacement of pressure instrumentation
- Know how to manage maintenance of instrument and control equipment and systems, shutdown and control valves operate and how to install shutdown and control valves, install transmitters (pressure, temperature, flow and level) and how they operate, fault-finding techniques for process control systems,
- Familiar with engineering drawings, specifications and documentation; extract information; sketch process, logic sequence or electrical circuit of an engineering asset.
- Know how to use the full complement of firefighting equipment and understand the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
