Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Maintenance management

  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation system for Bulk handling machinery such as ship loaders, stacker, conveyors, and mobile hoppers.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of field instruments such as pressure, level, temperature, and flow transmitters.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting and root cause analysis for recurring issues on stackers, conveyors, and ship loaders
  • Support the operation and maintenance of PLC, SCADA, and drive systems assist in automation troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and update documentation, calibration records, and reports.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures and operational standards.

Operation management

  • Coordinate with Operations Control Room and field teams to ensure smooth equipment performance
  • Monitor system parameters, throughput, and equipment health to minimize downtime
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety standards.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all operations and maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with Delta HSE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety risk assessments, toolbox talks, and permit-to-work inspections.
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, performance standards and specifications
  • Promote a culture of safety, housekeeping, and environmental awareness among team members.

  • Proactively propose ideas and take actions that add positively to Delta culture, improving team delivery or for enhancing your personal contribution and impact.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation / Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Additional certification in PLC / SCADA or industrial automation is an advantage.

Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems
  • Prepare and maintain maintenance logs, calibration reports, as per company and regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of calibration procedures and industrial standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve field and automation issues Understanding of commercial principles.
  • Ensure all maintenance records and technical documentation are updated and available for inspections.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements

Experience:

  1. Minimum 4 8 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting in heavy industry, port operations, or refinery environments.
  2. Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of process instruments (pressure, level, flow, and temperature transmitters).
  3. Familiarity with communication protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, and Modbus.
  4. Hands-on experience with PLCs (Siemens, ABB), SCADA systems, and various industrial drives.
  5. Experience in calibration, maintenance planning, and safety systems management
  6. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and instrument datasheets.
  7. Basic knowledge of electrical systems and interlocks.
  8. Demonstrates learning agility and continuous improvement.
  9. Good communication and teamwork skills.
