Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for design, engineering, integration, and commissioning of instrumentation, SCADA, and plant monitoring systems for utility-scale solar PV plants and substations to ensure reliable plant operation and performance monitoring.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and specify plant instrumentation, SCADA, and monitoring systems for solar PV projects.
  • Prepare datasheets, I/O lists, control philosophy, and engineering deliverables.
  • Integrate inverters, SMBs, weather stations, meters, and protection relays with SCADA.
  • Ensure compliance with utility/grid communication protocols (IEC-61850, Modbus, OPC).
  • Review vendor documents and support procurement & technical evaluations.
  • Support installation, calibration, loop checks, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot control/communication issues and support plant performance monitoring.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical Engineering.
  • 15+ years in instrumentation & control engineering.
  • Experience in utility-scale solar PV / substations / SCADA systems.
  • Exposure to solar plant monitoring and weather instrumentation preferred.

Skills

  • SCADA/PLC/RTU systems and industrial communication protocols.
  • Solar plant monitoring & weather sensors.
  • Instrumentation design and industrial networking.
  • AutoCAD or instrumentation design tools.
